From the above three articles, the
following can be concluded:
1)
AI is safe until it
becomes self-aware and starts thinking for itself, potentially leading it to
believe that it is superior to its creators – humans, and this may cause a
revolution.
2)
There are many uncertainties
about what will happen to humans in an AI world, because how our DNA has
evolved and will develop in response to a surge of revolutionised AI machines
is unpredictable at current, especially as there is yet to be an AI created
with human-level intelligence.
3)
AI have yet to be classified
under legal terms, affecting their “rights” and ability to be charged with
responsibility for their actions, but with a current “fixed set of imperatives”,
this will be difficult to monitor in terms of how deterministic their will is.
Therefore, it can be concluded, that
at least for now, there is still HOPE for the human race, as long as the above
are taken into consideration and the issues are dealt with early on i.e. now.
